I am a young person and I thoroughly enjoy jazz because of the fact that it requires real talent and real skills. The music of the top 100 is mostly enhanced with computers and just seems very fake. I only wish that "Feels So Good" from Chuck Mangione was available for a single download because more people would discover Chuck Mangione's talent that way. There's nothing quite like listening to Chuck play his Flugelhorn, which by the way is a brass instrument -- not a reed or woodwind AND deffinetly not in any way like a saxophone. Other than that, all I can say is that any Mangione or Jazz fan should have this entire album.

A classic and unforgettable melody by Mangione et al. I think the song was a hit because of its musical foundation. The bass line is a complex pattern presented in a punchy way with high intensity. The noting is flawless in the recording. The sax solo is very creative and the harmonies with Mangione in the chorus are beautiful. (I am not certain if Jeff Tyzik accompanied Mangione on this recording.) The guitar solo is bright and the style is predictive of that of many contemporary jazz guitarists today. "Give it all you got" was serious contemporary jazz well ahead of its time. Dave Kaber

Not a bad album actually. Standard Chuck Mangione Jazz stuff and a nice addition to my collection. When I was preveiwing the album (because I couldn't buy just "Feels so Good") I didn't think I was going to give it a very good review. But now that I've listened to it I'm having to eat my words. And this coming from someone who is generally into New Wave Rock really says a lot.

Chuck Mangione: Greatest Hits is the perfect compilation for anyone who has any feelings whatsoever for Chuck's music. It's got some great music, and I didn't come across a track I didn't like. The only problem was that some of the music gets repetitive. All the same, it's a must-have for Mangione fans as well as anyone who enjoys Latin or Jazz music.
