They did some strange stuff to a few of these songs, they don’t sound exactly like the songs I grew up with ,and I know and love. Why mess with success? Raised backing vocals and a bass slide that I never heard on the previous 1000 listens of ‘Long way from home’ is one example.

I recommend not buying until Atlantic puts together a proper download release - the single version of Feels Like The First Time feels like a ripoff. The actual LP version is available on the No End In Sight compilation, but you shouldn't have to buy an extra track to actually re-create the proper album. (Not to mention the sligtly altered cover artwork.)

After listening to the previews and reading the reviews, I decided not to download this album. I want the original album, not a meshed together mix of chopped up 45 versions of the singles, the original versions of album cuts, and a bunch of demo versions I'll never listen to.

Starrider was the best song as the daylight ended and the stage lights shined bright. Foreigner rocked!!!

Im 14 and Im hooked onto this album! "Feels Like The First Time" and "Cold As Ice" are great tunes, but "At War With The World" is probably my favorite song on the album
  • One of the great debut albums

I discovered pop music in 1977 - which, as it turned out, was one of the most epic years for rock with the supremacy of albums like "Hotel California" and Fleetwood Mac's "Rumors." Foreigner's debut took its place alongside those staples with a stream of singles that included, in order, "Feels Like the First Time," "Cold as Ice," and "Long, Long Way From Home." Mixed in with those classics was one of my favorite Foreigner songs, "At War With the World" - and this album stands on par with the great rock debuts in history. They turned out great records for years afterwards, but I'd argue that no single album (including "Foreigner 4") surpassed this album.

They have "re-worked" classics that didn't need it, made them WORSE, and messed with the memories! I want a refund and the real album.

I stopped listening halfway through the first song. Feels Like the First Time (i heard it on the radio). This is the chopped up, shortened, radio version of the song. Absolutely amazing that iTunes would sell this crap on a "deluxe" album. Unbelieveable. Please, I want my money back and the full version of the album.

This was my very first Album of significance, I was 11 it was 1980. There really isn't a bad song on it and it is one of those must have albums. I don't have a turn table, but I still have that album...
