I can listen to this album and it takes me back to when I was in my late teens. One of the best albums ever

It is a good album. It was difficult for Weezer to release a new album that would satisfy after the amazing album that is The Blue Album, but they did a pretty good job! It has some good tracks like "El Scorcho", "Pink Triangle", and "Across The Sea", but it is DEFINITLY not better than The Blue Album, like to the point where if you think otherwise, then you are tottaly wrong, like your opinion is actually wrong. An obvious point is that Pinkerton is much darker than the Blue Album, and it is, but I like Pinkerton's darkness, not more than The Blue Album's masterful writing. I just want to bring up this extremely homophobic line in "Pink Triangle", "Everyone's a little queer, why can't she be a little straight". Wow, the word "queer" is extremely offensive to use today, and shows the age on Pinkerton, unlike The Blue Album, which does have some references, but they are to timeless things like Dungeons & Dragons and KISS. It is good, maybe even great, but not as good or well done as The Blue Album. Enjoy!

Doesn’t get any better than the classic Pinkerton album, by far a high point in Weezers music career. Highly recommend to anyone who loves good ol 90’s Rock music

Pinkerton is by far the most honest and heartfelt record ever recorded. Just reading about the recording and writing of this kinda makes you feel for the lead singer. Across the Sea would have to be my favorite track from this. It’s brutally honest in the way it’s presented. As a songwriter I wish I could have written something this good. If the blue album was goodbye high school Pinkerton is welcome to College. The good life is another great song. It has that 50’s feel with a 90’s twist. Actually, in all reality the whole album is great. Very inspired and brutally honest. 5 stars.

One of the important albums of the 90s. The perfect collection of angsty, troubled songs that address loneliness, fear of rejection, and frustration at the seemingly unsuccessful search for love and human connection.
